[FEB PEESS ASSOCIATION.] ESCAPEE’S DEATH. HAMILTON, December 27. Human remains found in a tree near the Waipa River at Tuhikaramea by two young campers, were identified at the inquest to-day, as those of Bernard Charles Allan Cole, 29, who escaped from Waikeria Borstal Institute on May 22 last, and had not been seen nor heard of since. Evidence of identification was given by David Dunlop, Superintendent of the Prison, and Frank Robert Baker, who escaped with Cole, and was recaptured two days later. The inquiry was adjourned sine die.
