BRAVERY RECOGNISED

HUMANE SOCIETY’S AWARDS

CHRISTCHURCH, December 20

Four awards for bravery were made to-day by (he Court of Directors of {he Royal Humane Society of Nev,- Zealand, as follows: —

Bronze Medal: Leonard Moyle, for attempting to rescue Joseph Roy Blake from drowning in the Rangitikei River on February 8, 1934. Bronze Medal: Marjery Buchanan Hunn, aged 26, school mistress, for rescuing Noel Jeffcott, aged 6, from drrwning at Te Kuiti on October 8, 1934.

Framed Certificate: William Dick, aged 52, for rescuing David Royden List, aged 5. from drowning, at Day’s Bay, Wellington, on August 3, 1934. Letter of Commendation: William George Reynolds, aged 13, for rescuing a child, aged two, from drowning at Masterton in October, 1933 .
