WEDDING
BUTTERWORTH—NEILSON. The wedding took place this morn- , ing, at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Greymouth, of Helen, second daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Neilson, Cobden, and Ralph, only son of Mr and Mrs J. T. Butterworth, of Melbourne. Rev. H. R. Fell performed the ceremony, and Miss M. Coburn presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was attired in an ankle-length frock of ivory French ring velvet, cul on slim princess lines. The ney, neck-line was finished with a bril liant clip, and the back with silvei buttons, while the long tight fitting sleeves were also finished with sil ver buttons. Her beautifully em hroidered tulle veil, fell from a tinj
cap, and was caught at the nape of the neck with a tiny bandeau of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of Madonna lilies, carnations and roses. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss I. Neilson, who wore a frock of blush pink French ring velvet, made on lines similar to the bride’s frock. The waistline was swathed with a sash, which formed a large bow at the hack, and the sleeves were of the new lantern puff. She carried a bouquet of roses, sweet peas and maidenhair fern. Helen Anderson, niece of the bride, was flower girl, wearing an ankle length frock of white organdie, patterned with pink rosebuds. She wore a headband of pink rosebuds, and carried a posy of sweet peas and rosebuds. Mr John Neilson, brother of the bride,' was best man. The reception was held at Herb Moore’s, where Mrs Neilson, mother of the bride, received the guests wearing a smart ensemble in crepe alma and hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of crimson carnations and sweet william. Later, Mr and Mrs Ralph Butterworth left for the North Island, via Picton, the bride travelling in an ensemble of French grey waffle cloth, with hat and shoes to tone. Mr and Mrs Butterworth will reside in Blackball.
