ENTERTAINMENTS

OPERA HOUSE—TO-NIGHT. “That’s a Good Girl,” featuring Jack ' Buchanan, will be finally screened to-night, also the Centenary Air Race news reel. FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. Ramon Novarro’ and .Jeannette MticDonald, popular stars, are featured in “The Cat and the Fiddle,” to be screened on Friday and Saturday. It has nothing whatsoever to do with cats, and very little to do with fiddles. It is a romantic, melodic drama, spiced with the most glorious songs yet heard on the screen. A coloured Silly Symphony “Old King Cole,” will also be shown. At Blackball to-night "Madame Spy” will be shown, and at Runanga to-night, “Paddy the Next Best Thing" will be screened. TOWN HALL. In making the .statement that the entertainment to be presented by Westport artists at the Town Hall to-night will rank amongst the best seen at Greymouth, one cannot be accused of saying anything flambuoyant or extravagant.. The Westport Gymnastic Club has already put on numerous displays and on each occasion has been rewarded with a capacity house. The programme to be presented at Greymouth will have a pleasing touch of variety and has been specially drawn up Io cater for all tastes. Seldom have the people of Greymouth been given such an opportunity of seeing and hearing such a galaxy of talent in one evening. Miss Margaret Kerr, premier danscuse, is grace itself, and her genius which will be readily recognised at i Greymouth will not be easily forgot- | ten. Dick Diskin, the mirth-maaer I and eccentric dancer, should please all. He is as happy on his hands as he is oh his feet. Miss Lee, soprano, will be heard to advantage in some of her latest successes. Molly Kilkenny, daughter of the Mayor of. Westport, is another artist worth seeing. The scintillating ballets, “The Jolly Eight,” and “Sergeant Jock McPhee” are alone worth the price of admission. The gymnastics will be provided by a clever troupe of forty ladies and men. They will be seen in thrilling exhibitions on the parallel and horizontal bars, vaulting horse, marching, tableaux, fencing, club swinging, dumb-bells, barbells, classical posing, etc., etc. The leading orchestra in the Buller district will provide stirring music under the direction of Mrs Curtis. The trip is being undertaken as a result of appeals from all quarters and a bumper house should greet this talented Company to-night.
