[OUB OWN CORESPONDENT.] At a meeting held in the Druids Hall, last evening, of those interested in the holding of the annual picnic, there were twenty-five present. Mr it. J. Armstrong presided. The bouncesheet, showing a credit of £39/10/-, was adopted. . . , It was decided that the picnic be held at Hokitika on Saturday, February 9, and that the usual arrangements be made. A voluntary subscription will be taken up amongst the miners. , , Mr and Mrs J. A. McLeod will leave to-morrow night, on a holiday visit to Christchurch. A Christmas-tree party was given to the children of the primer classes of the State School, this morning. Each child received a small gift and refreshments.
