BLAKETOWN PONDS.
[to the editor.] Sir—l wish to draw the attention of the authorities, whether it be the Borough Council or the Harbour Board or both, to the danger to life and health as a result of the stench arising from two filthy frog ponds in Blaketown. One in particular, situated between Preston Road bridge am. Reid Street was created by the Harbour Board, and if an epidemic of disease breaks out I hold that body responsible; As a large amount ot money Hs collected annually from Blaketown in rates, I would suggest that the Borough Council take this matter in hand, and treat the citizens of Blaketown as far as sanitation is concerned, with the same consideration as other sections of the community.—Yours, etc., !» RATEPAYER.
