TOWN CLERK ACCUSED
COUNCIL MONEY INVOLVED. [per press association.] WAIPUKURAU, November 16. Herbert Monteroy Tansley, Town Clerk, and Christian Mathieson Gronn, relief worker, appeared at the Court this morning jointly charged with thefts of sums of money amounting to £lB 8/9, the property of the Waipukurau Borough Council. They were remanded until November 23 on bail, self £2OO, and two sureties of £lOO or one of £2OO. Other charges are pending.
