ARRESTS AT BUCHAREST. LONDON, November 15. The “Morning Post’s” Bucharest correspondent says: A remarkable round-up dislocated the life of the city for many hours yesterday. It was for the purpose of finding several notorious Macedonian and Croat revolutionaries, who are believed to have fled to Roumania after the murder of King Alexander. All of the troops here were mobilised withput warning, and they proceeded to stop tramcars and other vehicles, and also pedestrians. The troops also visited the cafes and cinemas. Three thousand people were arrested, of whom five hundred have been detained. They are mostly foreigners. LATER. King Carol’s and Prince Michael’s carriage was closely guarded when they drove through the streets for the opening of Parliament. Nobody was allowed to occupy the windows. King Carol, in his speech from the Throne, declared that Roumania desired peace. Nevertheless, owing to recent international events, the Army needed immediate overhauling in preparation for any eventuality.
