ROYAL WEDDING

BRIDE’S ARRIVAL DATE A FAMILY GREETING , Cbbitisii OFFICIAL WIRELESS.] RUGBY, November 15. Princess Marina will arrive in London for the wedding, on Wednesday, November 21, travelling from Dover with her parents in a special train to Victoria, where she will be met by the King and Queen, the Duke of Kent, Prince of Wales and other members of the Royal family. Not being a State arrival, there will be no ceremony. PROCESSION REHEARSALS' [by CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] (Recd. November 16, 8 a.m.) LONDON, November 15. Londoners had the first glimpse of the Royal wedding arrangements today. A procession of five luggage waggonettes driven by Royal coachmen, escorted by squadrons of Life Guards, trotted from Buckingham Palace to the Abbey, along the route, to be followed on November 29, officials carefully timing. There will be several other rehearsals.

A SMALL TROUSSEAU. (Recd. November 16, 1 p.m.) LONDON, November 15. The “Daily Express” says that Princess Marina will have to pay heavy customs duty on her Paris-made trousseau, when she lands at Dover, next week, but the selection of new clothes will be the smallest a Royal bride has collected in recent years. “Fashions change so suddenly. I don’t want to buy too many clothes,” said Princess Marina, more than once, to the dressmakers. She has chosen two morning, seven afternoon, and seven evening gowns. DRESS AND VEIL. PARIS, October 9. Details of Princess Marina’s wedding gown were given this morning by Captain Molyneux. It is to be of silver lame with an English rose woven through in the design. The gown will be on a simple Princess line with a trained length in an otherwise slim skirt. Long sleeves, too, will appear, but they will be more of the moyen-age than the tight-fitting type. The Court train, measuring about six yards long, will also be of silver lame, and lined also with silver lame, woven in Lyons. The Princess’s shoes will likewise match the gown. Princess Marina will wear the veil of antique lace which belongs to her family and which was worn by her mother, Princess Nicholas of Greece, and her sister, Princess Olga, at their weddings. A diamond tiara will crown her head, and she is expected to carry Madonna lilies. The Princess is still busy preparing her trousseau. Her visits to Molyneux usually take place in the morning. Fittings and consultations take about two hours. Captain Molyneux also said that the bridesmaids are to wear white crepe woven with a delicate silver thread to make a perfect background for the brilliant silver bridal gown. Headdresses are to be worn by the bridesmaids, but the character of these has not yet been disclosed. Some of the gowns will be made in Paris and some in London.
