£500 NECKLACE FOUND
DROPPED IN DRAWER LONDON, October 4. The £5OO pearl necklace which Lady Beatrice Pole-Carew, daughter of the third Marquis of Ormonde, lost while motoring from Scotland to London on Aug. 27 last was found two or three hours afterwards by a village postwoman. She is Mrs. E. Mains, of White House, Kenton. Early the following day she was walking along near Kenton, when she picked up the necklace at the roadside. She thought it was of no value, and later dropped it in a drawer at home. She had forgotten all about it until she read an advertisement of the loss. She then communicated with the advertisers, and has received a reward of £5O.
