N.Z. ELECTIONS POSTPONED?
A VEILED DICTATORSHIP [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, November 15. Mr. Wilkinson M.P., interviewed, said there was little prospect of an early election. In fact, he would not be surprised to find another postponement. The Government might claim it had insufficient time to complete its policy measures. Asked if this indicated a dictatorship, he replied, “We have it already in veiled form. An open dictatorship would be an improvement under the right type of dictator, but the risk is a supreme one, afid the dictator could only be removed by force, hence the present trend of events gives cause for considerable apprehension.” Mr. Wilkinson reiterated that his intention not to seek re-election remained unchanged.
