[BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] CAPITALISM AND COMMUNISM. MELBOURNE, November 13. Speaking at the Anglican Assembly here, the Bishop of Goulburn, Dr E. I-I. Burgmann, said that Communism and Capitalism were the two most vital problems with which the church was faced. Poverty was a social sin, he said, against which the Christian conscience must stand in a vigorous, relentless revolt. He added: “Only as poverty is reduced will a sense of security grow, enabling us to reduce the danger of war. Christian Churches must face this task, or else must allow themselves to be pushed out of the stream of human history. The church must not identify itself with I Capitalism or Communism.”
