Robinson (Marlborough); Kelly (Auckland) v. Evans (Motueka). Featherweight: Fisher (Christchurch) v. Borcovsky (Marlborough); Gordon (Taranaki) v. Aitken (Wellington) ; Spencer (Southland) v. Hawes (Greymouth); Stock (Hawke’s Bay) v. Evans (Motueka). Lightweight: Elsmore (Nelson) v. Gibbons (Manawatu); Jarvis (Taranaki) v. , (Gisborne); Hawkins (Greymouth) v. Ramsay (Otago) ; Murray (Wellington) v. Nelligan (Christchurch). Welterweight: Taylpr (Hawke’s Bay) v. Candy (Marton); Hopkins (Manawatu) v. Jack (Southland); Arbuthnott (Wellington) v. Fail (Christchurch); Mudgray (Waikato) v. Hogg (Auckland). Middleweight: Gisborne v. Thornton (Taihape); O’Connell (Oamaru) v. Lister (Ashburton); Reid (Wellington) v. Howson (Greymouth); Davis (Wairarapa) v. Percy (Hawke’s Bay).
Light-heavyweight: Soane (Motueka) v. Neale (Auckland); Cowan (Hawke’s Bay) v. Bourne (Christchurch) ; Dawson, (Wanganui) v. Muir (Southland). Heavyweight: Adams (Manawatu,) v. Hepburn (Auckland).
MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION. [by CABLE —PBESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] NEW YORK, September 11. At Pittsburg, Teddy Yarosz, of Monaca, Pennsylvania, won the middleweight boxing title to-night, defeating the champion, Vince Dundee, of Newark, New Jersey, in a slashing fifteen rounds bout before 28,000 people. PETERSON v. COOK. LONDON, September 12. Petersen will meet Cook for the British and Empire heavyweight titles. The Boxing Board of Control has instructed the manager of the two boxers to arrange the contest before September 25.
