Bengal’s latest terrorist outrage was at Chandpur, where a dozen Englishspeaking men, armed with revolvers, guns and daggers, attacked the railway station, and looted mail bags and insured letters valued at 4000 rupees. An intending passenger was killed, and railway servants were injured. HOME RULE CANDIDATES (Rec. June 5, 10 a.m.) CALCUTTA, June 4. The new Swaraj party plans for the forthcoming general election to the Legislative Assembly include running 81 candidates of whom it expected 67 will be returned. These Will enable them with the help of a few independent votes to defeat the Government and block any issue. The re-entry into the Legislatures will greatly strengthen the Indian National Congress organisation, which is behind the Swaraj, or Home Rule party.
