MURDER AT WAGGA
ACCUSED FOUND GUILTY SHOT WITNESS DIES [BY CABLE —PBESS ASSN. —CO/YBIGHT.] SYDNEY, May 11. The trial of Edward Henry Morey, who is charged with the murder of Percy Smith, is nearing a conclusion. Morey denied committing murder, and he added that bloodstains that were found on his clothing were due to his accidentally cutting himself. LATER. Morey was found guilty, and was sentenced to death. WITNESS’S WIFE ARRESTED. SYDNEY, May 11. Mrs Lilian Anderson, the wife of Moncrief Anderson, a Crown witnesss in the Morey trial (who was last night shot in the head at Wagga), was today arrested for attempting to murder her husband. Mrs Anderson was remanded for eight days.
LATER. Anderson is dead. Mrs Anderson will now be charged with murder.
