MARYLEBONE SELECTORS

The Marylebone selectors are Messrs Jackson, Perrin and Higson.
In addition to appointing the selec.ors, of whom Mr Jackson is chairnan, Marylebone agreed, at the Aus:ralians’ request, to defer fixing the lours of play, until a conference after heir arrival.
It was revealed that Jardine, in February, without prior discussion, wrote intimating that he was not available for the Tests.
It is understood that the selectors will not follow the 1930 precedent of co-opting professional advisers, but it is likely that they will co-opt amateurs.
It is expected that the committee will meet early in May, for the purpose of appointing a captain and choosing teams for a test trial on June 2.
