NEW YORK, March 15.
In the U.S.A, indoor tennis semifinals, Stoeffen defeated Shields 6-4, 11-9, 6-4; and Mangin defeated Wood 6-4, f 3-6, 7-5.
Only six of the selected West Coast tennis team left this morning for Christchurch: Messrs R. Rear, R. Pattinson, C. Burley, P. Warnes,. A. K. Smith and T. Anisyl Dougherty and Larcombe were unable to make the trip. The team will play representative games in Christchurch, and will return on Tuesday.
