An Adelaide cablegram announced the death of Colonel Sidney Beach, one of the original members of the Adelaide Stock Exchange, aged 74.

Mr J. Barnhill, of the Money Order branch, Post and Telegraph Department, Greymouth, has received notice of transfer to Wellington.

Professor Davidson Black, a brilliant Canadian scientist, prominently associated with the Pekin man discoveries, died at his desk at the Rockfeller Hospital, Pekin, from heart failure, on Thursday. He was aged 39. He is survived by a widow, and two children. —“Times” cablegram.

The death is announced from Levin, of Mr Herbert George Kerslake, Managing Director of Kerslake and Billens, Ltd., proprietors of the Levin Daily Chronicle, and the Otaki Mail. He was also a Director of the Manawatu Daily Times, Palmerston North. He was 51 years of age.—Press Assn.
