GIRL STOWAWAY
DEPORTED TO SYDNEY. [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, February 9. When the Monowai sailed for Sydney to-day, one of those aboard of her was Lizette Anderson, aged 15 years, the girl who stowed away when the ship sailed from Sydney a week ago. She allegedly did so for the purpose of visiting her parents in. Auckland. On arrival, she said that hei’ parents, who are Dutch, had come to Australia three years ago, and-had moved to Auckland some months ago, leaving her in charge of friends. She was later taken to the Central Police Station to await the verification of her statement. She was afterwards charged with being an undesirable alien, and was remanded. To-day a deportation order was made and the little adventurer was once again placed on the liner. Shortly before the Monowai’s departure, a man was found hidden in the potato locker. He was 0 taken in charge. It is alleged that the man had two packed suitcases with him.
