EARLY WINTER
STORMS IN BRITAIN.
[BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.]
RUGBY, October 29
Wintry conditions set in over the whole of Great Britain yesterday, with a renewal of the gale on the east coast and showers of sleet, hail or snow in most parts of the country. The snow in certain parts of Northern England and Scotland has impeded road traffic. During the heavy weather in the North Sea several steamers sought shelter in Bridlington Bay, including a Dutch motorship, the “Europa,” of Groningen, whose compass wheel house and forecastle were washed away. Several trawlers were in difficulties.
