VISIT TO CHRISTCHURCH [FEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, October 1. Their Excellencies, Lord and Lady Bledisloe, will conclude their visit to Christchurch to-day. On Saturday morning they visited relief depots and the women’s auxilary, also the training centre for unemployed girls. They said that nowhere in New Zealand was such a wonderful spirit shown in dealing with the relief of distress. _ . In the afternoon they attended a re-union of the Canterbury Pilgrims, where Lord Bledisloe paid a tribute to the vision of the pioneers and the effect of their descendants, later going to Lancaster Park to see the Ranfurly Shield match between Canterbury and King Country. In the evening Lord Bledisloe'addressed members of the Toe. H. movement, and conducted the ceremony of the light. On Sunday Their Excellencies attended a jubilee service at St. Barnabas Church, Fendalton, and Lord Bledisloe read the Lessons. In the evening they attended at the Cathedral, where Lord Bledisloe also read the Lessons. «.
