WELLINGTON REFEREE. ! WELLINGTON, August 15. Mr .1. Moffitt, of Wellington, has been chosen by Southland to referee the Ranfurly Shield match. Canterbury v. Southland, at Christchurch, on Saturday. SEDDON SHIELD. [to the editor.] Sir, —May I draw your attention to the prices being charged for admission to the representative Rugby games. These, to my mind, are excessive. In these days of little money, I consider it very hard that a couple should have to pay 3/6 for the privilege of seeing their team in action. Of course, it will be said that those dissatisfied can stay at home, but as every true Rugby enthusiast considers it his duty to be present to cheer his team to victory, 1 consider he should be allowed to do so at a reasonable charge sa y one and sixpence and one shilling respectively. Yours, etc., 1 "FAIR CHARGE.”
