[per press association.] AUCKLAND, August 13. A New Zealand women’s golf team will leave for Australia by the Wanganella next Friday to play in an inaugural contest with an Australian women’s team. The team is: Mrs. Guy Williams (capt .and manager), Mrs. Templer (Waimate), the present champion; and three previous champions, Mrs. Dodgshun, Aliss O. Kay (Balmace wan), and Aliss B. While engaged in a game of golf, on 'Miramar links, on Saturday. D. J. Hawkes, suddenly collapsed and expired in a few minutes. He was about to play a raashie shot to the thirteenth green. Hawkes was playing with Rev. C. V. Rooke. Play on the course was suspended during the afternoon. Hawkes was a member of the staff of the Electricity Department of the City Council, and held high qualifications as an electrical engineer. ENGLISH TEAM’S VISIT.
