WOMAN DROWNED. [FEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, August 14. Mrs Harriet Matilda Hindle, 65, was found drowned at Evans Bay, this morning. She is reported to have been suffering from a nervous breakdown, and was missing from her home last night. The body was found by her son-in-law, who was searching for her. BODY FOUND OPOTIKI, August 14. The body of the missing woman. Mrs C. Attewell, was found on the Waiotahi beach, three miles from Opotiki, on Sunday. WALKER’S SEVERE FALL. CHRISTCHURCH. August 13. Richard Nash, proprietor of the Star and Garter Hotel, Christchurch, slipped and fell while walking on the Cashmere Hills this morning. Pie fell down a bank of about twelve feet, and suffered injuries to his spine, which arc described as very severe. It, was Mr. Nash’s almost, daily habit to take a vigorous walk of about six miles on the Hills. He knew the Hill roads and tracks thoroughly. On this occasion, his foot slipped while ho was stepping from one rock to another.
