LONDON WOOL SALES. [BY CABLE—PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] LONDON, July 14. At the wool sales 9707 bales were offered, including 4814 bales of New Zealand wool and about 497 G bales were sold. Competition was well sustained for all the finer qualities. Prices were fully steady. Withdrawals of the lower grades were more numerous. Greasy cross-breds and cross-bred slipes. were fully 5 per cent, below the opening rates. New Zealand lots sold as follow — Scoured Merinos-Ferintosh (top price 24d), average 231 d. Halfbred lamb slipes—(lGd), 13.]d.
