RANFURLY SHIELD INTEREST [PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, July 15. Arrangements for the Southern invasion of Christchurch for the Ranfurly Shield match, between Canterbury and Southland on August 19, are assuming unexpected dimensions. At first,, only one special trein was needed to bring the Southlanders with their footballers and bands to the city, but due to the intense interest being taken in the game, two special trains have now beeil commissioned to transport enthusiasts from Invercargill. Interest in the match is not confined to Southland, for Otago and South Canterbury have been stirred by the prospect of seeing the game. Besides special trains from Invercarg.to, there will be specials from Dunedin and Timaru.
