Tn the British middleweight championship bout, Jock McAvoy, of Rochdale. outpointed Len Harvey (holder) in 15 rounds.

GISBORNE, April 10.

The Poverty Bay-East Coast single rise clay bird championship was won at Tatapouri by Rex Oates, aged 13 years, from a field of experienced shooters. With two others he scored the possible of 18 and in the shoot-off he broke all five clays, beating the others handsomely. F. L. Joblin, who was runner-up in a single rise match, won the double rise title after shooting off three times with H. F. Smythe, the runner-up.

BOWLING. Messrs Leitch, Soott, Moss, and Whibley (s) will leave for Nelson tomorrow,. to represent the Greymouth Bowling Club at the Easter tournament. They will return on Wednesday following. The committee of the Club, at its meeting last evening, decided to postpone the closing of the green, for this season, until Wednesday evening, April 19.
