WHOLESALE PRICES DECREASE

As measured at the Board of Trade average, wholesale prices in Britain for February, showed, on a balance a decrease of 1.3 per cent, compared to January, and a decrease of 6.0 per cent, compared to February, 1932.

REVENUE RETURNS

RUGBY, March 8

A Treasury return shows that the ordinary revenue last week amounted to £26,319,817. If this figure should be maintained, the Budget estimates for the year ending March 31, will be realised. The Income tax and surtax receipts last week totalled £19,454,000.

ELECTRICITY SUPPLIES

An electricity grid system, which consists of a vast network of main transmission lines covering almost the whole of Britain, for distributing electricity from selected generating stations. will be substantially completed during the present year. TRADE WITH DENMARK

On behalf of the Board of Trade, it was stated in the Commons that the total value of merchandise imported by the United Kingdom in 1932, from Denmark was £40,556.327. The United Kingdom exports to Denmark in tho same year amounted to £9,5C0,499. The Government’ was conducting trade negotiations with Denmark to correct the balance.
