The Prime Minister and Foreign Secretary will meet M. Daladier and M. Boncour at Paris, to confer regarding disarmament. M. Boncour will travel with the British Ministers to Geneva, but it is uncertain whether M. Daladier will accompany them.

ARMS EMBARGO

Answering a question, Sir John Simon said that Lhe Council of the League was considering the British, French and Italian memorandum containing a recommendation to Governments to impose an embargo on export to Bolivia and Paraguay of arms and war material. Such embargo would not become operative until certain States, not members of the League, including the United States, had applied similar prohibition. As the League was now endeavouring to effect a. settlement of the Peru-Colombia dispute, under Article 15, no question of embargo arose. The embargo of exportation of war material to China and Japan did not apply to air craft, or air craft engines of any kind.
