BOXING

FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE.' [by CABLE —PEESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] ' LONDON, November 10. At Liverpool, in the British featherweight championship contest, ex-sea-man Watson outpointed the holder, Nel Tarleton. At the Albert Hall, in a heavyweight contest, Jack Doyle, the ex-Guardsman, sensationally knocked out the Frenchman, Moise Bouquillon, in the second round. CROFT SOUGHT AFTER. Tom Croft, the Stillwater middleweight, who has been matched with C. Moore for November 26, has also accepted further offers for professional matches. The Southland Boxing Association have fixed a bout in Invercart gill on November 30 with Bert Lowe, the Olympic representative. Hokitika Boxing Association are also matching Croft for Boxing Night with either Adams, Turner or McEwen. A still further' offer has come from the Oamaru Boxing Association for a bout sometime in December, so Croft is likely to be kept busy till the New Year at least. Much interest will be centered around his bout with Lowe, the Dunedin boy, who, it will remembered was sent to Olympia as middleweight without having to meet Croft.
