JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
The final of the Greymouth Golf Club’s Junior Championship (men) was played yesterday, over 36 holes, at the Omoto Links in fine weather, between Mr E. Warnes and Mr N. B. McCallum. Warnes was one up at the end of the first round, but at the thirty-fourth hole, McCallum was dormie two. Warnes won the thirtyfifth and thirty-sixth holes in par (two fours), but duffed his drive at the thirty-seventh. McCallum lost the advantage by hitting out of bounds, Warnes winning the hole and the match with a five to McCallum’s six.
WOMEN’S MATCHES
AUCKLAND, July 28.
Miss Susan Tolhurst, champion woman golfer of Australia, expressed the hope that women’s contests between Australia and New Zealand, on the lines of the Windeyer Cup matches, would be inaugurated soon.
