LOCKED IN SAFE
“KREUGER” AUDITORS’ ORDEAL.
[BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYEIGHT.] (Recd. July 28, 8 a.m.) LONDON, July 27. A Stockholm message stated that two English auditors, investigating Kreuger’s Affairs, entered the great safe at Kreuger’s headquarters to replace documents, when the closing apparatus was accidentally operated. Locksmiths worked frantically and fruitlessly for two hours, when a duplicate key was found.
The auditors were released unharmed, thanks to a small air valve in the machinery.
