The death took place at the Auckland Hospital on Tuesday, of Mrs Julia Letitia 'Clinkard, aged seventyone, wife of Mr C. H. Clinkard, M.P. for Rotorua.

The funeral of the late Patrick O’Boyle took place, this morning, at Karoro cfemetery. Rev. Father Healy celebrated Requiem Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, and conducted the service at the graveside.

The retirement is announced of Mr J. E. Gamble, accountant to the Wellington Harbour Board, after fortyeight and a-half years’ service. He had been accountant since 1909. Mr A. W. O. Travers will succeed Mr Gamble. —Press Assn.

Having served Wellington Harbour Board for many years, Mr A. G. Barnett, the Secretary, was appointed Chief Executive Officer at the,Board meeting, last evening. The Board accepted the resignation of the General Manager, Mr James Marchbanks, to take effect from next Monday, and appointed him Consulting Engineer. Mr E. The death took place, at her residence at Roxburgh, last evening, of Mrs. W. H. Weaver. She had been in ill health for some time. She leaves a husband and an adult family of three, Mrs M. Lynch (Greymouth), William, (Dunedin) and John (Roxburgh). The funeral will take place at Roxburgh on Saturday. The deceased was well known on the Coast, *her husband being a native of Greymouth. Mr jA. Weaver left this morning) to attend the funeral.
