The Miners’ Hall was well filled last evening on the occasion of the Annual Ball of the Seddon Lodge ot Druids. Despite the weather conditions visitors and representatives of various Lodges from the surrounding district were present. Music supplied by the Gaiety Orchestra provided much enjoyment, extras being played by Mrs R. Thompson and Mr. A. Gilligan. The floor was in charge of Mr. J. McPhee as M.C., assisted by Mr. J. Isherwood. Lucky dances were won by Mrs J. Reid and Mr. H. Ennor, Miss M. Wafer and Mr. A. Currie, Mrs H. Finn and Mr. N. Brown. An energetic ladies’ committee in charge of the supper arrangements were: Mesdames J. Smith, Glenn, J. Isherwood, Rafferty, Deardon, and Misses Smith and Malpass. Dancing was continued until the early hours.
