BERLIN, April 7. A stir has been caused by a statement of Wolff’s News Agency, that it is expected that an announcement will be made, in unmistakable language, that the Lausaiine Conference is going to be the end of reparations payments for all time as far as Europe is concerned.

N.Z. AND CANADA. OTTAWA, April 6. The terms for Canada’s proposed new Trade Treaty’ with New Zealand have not been announced in the Canadian Budget by the Minister of Finance, Mr. Rhodes. In circles that are well informed officially;, it was known that negotiations for this agreement are still in the stage of being “under way.” There is no definite agreement yet. Mr. S. W. Jacobs (Liberal) in the House asked Mr. Stevens if he would make a statement on the situation in* i espect to New Zealand treaty. Mr. Stevens replied he expected to make a statement shortly. Mr. MacKenzie King asked if it were possible that the Minister could make a statement before the budget debate, as it might have some bearing on the discussion.
