Mr. R. King returned this morning to Christchurch.

Mr. J. McCormack, who has been visiting friends in Greymouth, returned to-day, to Christchurch.

Miss M. Sinnott, who has been on a holiday visit to relatives in Greymouth, left to-day on return to Wellington.

Mr. F. J. Parkinson, who has been visiting Wellington and Christchurch, will return to Greymouth by this afternoon’s express.

Rev. E. P. Blamires, General Secretary of the Young People’s Department, of the Methodist Church, re- ( turned to-day, to Christchurch.

Mr. W. Absalom, of South Beach, accompanied by his mother,. Mrs R. Absalom, left by this morning’s express, en route for Auckland, on holiday.

The engagement is announced of Isobel eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. J. Aitken, Lyndhurst, formerly of Greymouth, to Francis Regan, only son of Mrs W. Jagger, Christchurch.

The death occurred at her parepts’ residence, last 'evening,. of Eunice Violet Morris, daughter of Mr and Mrs S. Morris, of Rufianga. She had been in ill health for a considerable time.
