The King and Queen are expected to leave London for Sandringham this week.. To-morrow the King and Queen will drive in state to Westminster for the ceremonial of the 'opening of the new Parliament,, at which the Prince of Wales will attend. On Wednesday morning Their Majesties and the Prince will be present at the Armistice Day ceremony at the Cenotaph. — Official Wireless.
Messrs M. R. Anderson and W. Balderstone (Blackball), will return this afternoon, from Christchurch.
Mr. and Mrs. L. McGinley returned to Nelson to-day, via Christchurch and Wellington.
Mr D. Lloyd George will leave London on November 18, on a health voyage to Ceylon and will return in January.

Mrs O’Flaherty, late o£ Nelson ■ Creek, died last night at the Lewisham Hospital, Christchurch Her family reside at 202, Peterborough t Street, Christchurch.
A London cablegram stated that the Earl of Orford was buried near the family seat at Wickmere, Norfolk. The coffin on which his robes and coronet rested, was borne to the church in a farm wagon. The ✓mourners included Countess Orford, Lady Dorothy Mills, and Lady Ann Walpole.
The marriage was celebrated at Holy Trinity Church on Saturday afternoon "of Miss Bessie May Coen, Greymouth, to Mr. Arthur Quy, of Rapahoe. Archdeacon J.. A. Jermyn .officiated. A reception was held at Rapahoe on Saturday evening, and Mr. and Mrs. Quy left yesterday by car for Christchurch.
