In a contest that will go down as the greatest one ever witnessed in New Plymouth, Johnny Leckie (Napier), B.llg, wrested the featherweight title from Tommy Donovan (Waitara), on Saturday night. Leckie displayed a return to his best form, and on two occasions, in the fourth and final rounds, Donovan just beat the count.
