The Church of England Grammar School won the champion eights after a gruelling head of the river race. Sydney High School came second, and St. Joseph’s College third. Simcock arid Alan Bruce (Melbourne) departed for Tat, near Burapest, with an aJI-Britisli motor ’cycle, to attack J. S. Wright s world record of 150.74 miles an hour.
