HAURAKI BY-ELECTION
UNITED CANDIDATE CHOSEN. [per press association.] AUCKLAND, May 9. After the United Party delegates held their conference it was announced that the United Party’s candidate for the Hauraki seat will be Mr Ebenezer Allan. This makes four candidates, the others being: Mr Petrie (Labour), Mr Massey (Reform), and Mr Ross (Country Party). GORE CANDIDATE GORE, May 11Colonel James Hargest has been selected as the Reform candidate tor the Mataura seat at the seneral election, against Mr. D. McDougall, M.P. (United).
