CROQUET. The Makura Croquet Club closed the season yesterday, when members and their friends spent an enjoyable afternoon. Competitions were held and resulted in Mrs Whibley winning the golf croquet, Mrs E. Warnes the circles, and Mrs Hogg and M'rs Bicheno the hurry-scurry. BOWLING. At last evening’s committee meeting of the Greymouth Bowling Club, the Chairman (Mr D. McKay) referred to the pending departure of one of its members, Mr W. Graham. On behalf of the Club he expressed regret at the loss of a very valued member, who, whilst being one of the leading players, was also a great worker in the general interests of the Club.' He cougratuiated Mr Graham on his wellearned promotion, and expressed fee wishes of the Club for the continued good health and prosperity of Mr and Mrs Graham and daughter in their new home. Mr T. Brebner endorsed the remarks of the Chairman. Mr Graham thanked members for their kindly wishes and regretted very much leaving Greymouth and the members of the Club, but realised that it was in the interests of himself and family to take the promotion offered. He had derived great pleasure from his connection with the Club aiid wished the Club every success in thefuture.
