SIR G. HUNTER’S WILL
LEGACIES REVOKED [per press association.] WELLINGTON, April 23: Under the will of the late Sir George Hunter, which was made on August, 1924, and which, with the codicil thereto of December, 1926, was upheld by Justice Reed, in his reserved judgment delivered at the Supreme Court on Monday last, the legacies amounted to £16,800 and . annuities to £450. The codicil revoked, owing to the deaths jaf the devises, legacies of £15,000 to his sister, Mrs Moorhouse, and of £2OO to one of his former servants, but added a bequest of £5OOO to the daughter of his brother Paul, and an annuity of £l5O to the son of his wife by her first marriage. The will was otherwise unaltered at the date of his stroke, in September 1929, therefore the existing will provided for legacies amounting to £6,600. With the exception of the amounts given to four nieces and the stepson, the legacies were all to farm servants.
