THREE PEOPLE BURNT

BENZINE VAPOUR IGNITES

WELLINGTON, March 2.

Three people were burnt, one severely, through a fire in a washhouse, attached to a house at Miramar. The fire is said to have started through a naked light coming into contact with benzine vapour. T.ne people were cleaning clothes in benzine. The house was owned and occupied by J. L. Allen, who was burnt slightly on the left hand and forearm while attempting to deal with the blaze. Mrs A. M. Allen was burnt on the left hand, arm, face and neck. Miss H. J. Hand received severe burns to the face, neck, hands, and arms.
