A “RIPPER” MURDER
LONDON’S LATEST SENSATION WOMAN’S TERRIBLE WOUNDS [BY CABLE —PBEBS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] (Received January 24 at 11 a.m.) ' LONDON, January 23. A “Jack-the-Ripper” type of murder was discovered in London, to-day. The victim was an unidentified woman, of about 30, who was found in a Blackheath area used as a football ground. The body was unclothed, and bore many stabbing wounds. The' body was mutilated as “The Ripper” mutilated, and a deep red - mark around the neck, suggested strangling, while part of the body ap- , peared to have been slashed with a razor. The head was bashed in, the woman’s left hand tightly clenched a shoe. Her other shoe was found fifteen yards away. The police believe that the body was carried to Blackheath, in a motoi’ car.
