The bowlers are anxiously watching the weather reports in view of the forthcoming West Coast Bowling Tournament to be held on the Runanga Green, commencing on February 9. A ladies committee will be in attendance and morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch will be provided for the visitors.

The travelling public must now take notice that no bus will pick up passengers in between spots. In the Runanga seven mile route, the buses are allowed to pick up any passengers at any stopping place, but must use Duncan Street when leaving Runanga and Seddon Street, when returning.

In a croquet match for the Armstrong Brooches, Mrs Southward and Mrs Hill (challengers), defeated Mrs McCracken and Mrs Wilson (holders). Mr A. Winstanley and Miss M. King have been selected to represent Greymouth against Canterbury, and should be capable of extending their opponents. I

Mrs Gore, who was taken to the Grey Hospital suffering from head injuries she received when her car ran off the road near Kokiri, on Wednesday night, is improving, and is expected home in a few days.
