Hobbs, who is suffering from an attack of neuritis, has been ordered a week’s rest. Hobbs is now within 16 runs of the late W. G. Grace’s aggregate record of 54,896 in first class cricket. His 106 to-day makes his centuries 174. He has now scored 100 against every county, both at home and away.
