GENERAL ELECTION PROSPECTS
[BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] LONDON, June 25. Lobby opinion expects the Government to accept the House of Lord’s amendment to the Coal Bill for abolishing the district levy, and to propose to negotiate regarding a spread over of the hours. There is every prospect of a settlement.
Mr MacDonald, however, speaking to the Labour Party at the House of Commons yesterday, hinted that there is a chance of a general election being held in November.
