KING’S RECTPTION
FIRST OF THE SEASON. [BRITISH OFFICIAL WIRELESS.] RUGBY, March 27. The King to-day held at Buckingham Palace his first levee since his illness. There were six hundred guests, who comprised officers of the Navy, Army and Air Force, politicians and bivic dignitaries. For the first time, the King received the Soviet Ambassador, M. Sokolnikoff. The previous levee which M. Sokolnikoff attended was held by the Prince of Wales. His Majesty departed from his usual custom of standing. He sat on a* golden throne, under a canopy of gold, surrounded by great officers of State. The King and Queen will hold five courts this year. On account of the large number of applications for presentation, it is authoritatively pointed out that the reappearance of the King at the Royal courts is a definite indication that he is completely restored to normal health, and can carry out his usual routine without interruption.
