ANOTHER CONFERENCE CALLED. [BY CABLF —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] • SYDNEY, March 27. Tho Primo Minister, Mr J. H. Scullin, has announced that he has decided to invite the representatives of the Northern Colliery Owners’ Association and of the Miners’ Federation to a conference with him on Saturday regarding the trouble on Northern fields. The proprietors have .agreed to attend the conference. The coal owners have firmly refused to confer with the men. however, except on the terms of the November compromise proposal.* The Northern Collieries’ Association officials have announced that over four thousand applications have been received for employment in mines.
