The New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association’s annual championships opened on Cook’s Gardens this afternoon, the weather being fine and the track in perfect order. During the ofternoon the standard time was better in nine events, while in two it was equalled. The championship events resulted: — Three-mile Walk.—D. Wills (Wan-ganui-Taranaki) 1, A.
